THE SPACE IN BETWEEN

 

The Space in Between è un progetto attualmente "work in progress" in quanto suddiviso in capitoli. Il primo "The Window" è una serie di 12 scatti realizzati in una location abbandonata situata a Spoleto, conosciuta come "Hotel Del Matto", fatiscente struttura ma molto affascinante, in disuso da circa venti anni. Il progetto ma soprattutto questo capitolo, nasce in modo spontaneo, con l'esigenza di comunicare in modo semplice e minimale senza l'ausilio di sotterfugi e fronzoli, sottolineando in modo deciso e diretto la distanza tra il corpo e il vuoto degli spazi, tra e delle persone; fondendo così l'essere umano, l'architettura e la natura in uniche immagini in cui risalta la freddezza dell'abbandono, della realtà, provando così a riempire tramite mezzo fotografico lo spazio "vuoto" tra immagine e spettatore.

 

The Space in Between is a project currently still "work in progress" as it will be divided into chapters. The first, "The Window" is a series of 12 photographs taken in an abandoned place located in Spoleto, known as "Hotel del Matto" , dilapitated but very charming structure now unused for about twenty years. The project, but especially this chapter was born spontaneously, moved by the need to communicate in a simple and minimal way, without subterfuge or frills, to empathize firmly and direct the distance between the body and vacuum of space, between people; thus fusing the human body, architecture and nature in unique images that could emphasize the coldness of abandonement, of reality, trying into fill it throug the photographic space, the "void" between image and viewer.
